Health Insurance Cover

Please speak to your insurer before making an appointment. Your insurance policy number and authorisation code for invoiced amount will be required to book your appointment. Some insurers rule out ASD or ADHD assessments in their policy wording, a neurodevelopment assessment looks at your child as a whole and most insurers will accommodate these assessments.

Dr Sarah Mills is currently recognised by the following Medical insurers:

Other insurers may well approve a consultation after a request from the policy holder.

Dr Mills adheres to the fee schedule provided by the relevant insurance company. Please note, you will be liable for any fees the insurer declines to pay.

Privately Funded Families

Please contact us to discuss your requirements and to arrange the most appropriate consultation.

  • An invoice for the assessment will be issued at booking the first appointment, a deposit will be required to secure the appointment. This must be paid within 6 weeks or the appointment will be reallocated.

  • The deposits are £150 for assessments over £300 and £600 for assessments over £1000. This is refundable and transferable until 48 hours prior to the initial appointment.

  • This is payable by BACS or card payment on request

  • The remaining balance from the invoice must be paid by the date of the feedback appointment which concludes the assessment. This can be paid in full or by instalments leading up to the appointment date.

    Any cancellations within 48 hours of an appointment will be charged a 50% cancellation fee for that appointment by invoice

    Any outstanding invoices may lead to services being ceased until accounts are brought up to date.

  • Deposit for assessment costing over £300 - £150 payable on booking

  • Deposit for assessment costing over £1000 - £600 payable on booking

  • Pre-school Developmental or New patient Assessment. Upto 60 minutes - £325

  • Stand alone Neurodevelopment assessment. Upto 90 minutes -£600

  • Medication discussion (new patient). Upto 60 minutes -£325

  • Medication titration (review) appointment. Upto 30 minutes - £75

  • Advice and guidance session. Upto 60 minutes - £325

  • Supporting letter for education/ Medical advice for education. Upto 60 minutes - £325

  • Immigration supporting evidence. Email discussion and report - £325

  • Supporting letter for blue badge or other applications. Email discussion and letter - £50

  • Professional Liaison and meeting attendance. Upto 60 minutes - £200

Neurodevelopmental Assessments

  • ASD assessment (Early years, under 5 years, assessment) - £2150

    Neurodevelopment assessment, Nursery liaison, Speech and language social communication assessment, +  ADOS (if required)

    90 minutes initial consultation with 45 minutes feedback meeting

  • ADHD assessment - £1550

    Neurodevelopment assessment, School liaison, Conners-4 Questionnaires, QbCheck or Creyos assessment 

    90 minutes initial consultation then 45 minutes feedback meeting

  • FASD assessment - £2850

    Neurodevelopment assessment, School liaison, Adaptive functioning assessment, Conners-4 Questionnaires, Creyos assessment, Communication checklist, ADOS Assessment. (WISC-V Cognitive assessment may be required for an additional fee)

    90 minutes initial consultation, 45 minutes feedback meeting

  • Combined assessment: eg. ASD and ADHD - £2650

    Neurodevelopment assessment, School liaison, Conners4 Questionnaires, ADOS assessment, QbCheck or Creyos assessment.

    Adaptive functioning assessment.

    90 minutes initial consultation and 45 minutes feedback meeting 

Medication service

  • Medication discussion - £325

    Initial discussion regarding commencing ADHD medication. Upto 60 minutes

  • Medication review (titration) - £90

    Initial period of starting medication with 3 weekly reviews to monitor dose and response. 15-30 minutes

  • Medication 3-6 monthly reviews with prescriptions provided -£200

    Prescription service and regular review arranged according to age with height, weight and BP check

    (3 monthly under 10 years of age, 6 monthly over 10 years of age). 15 - 30 minutes. Video call /Face to face options

  • Medication 3-6 monthly reviews with GP shared care in place - £150

    Regular review arranged according to age with height weight ad BP check and ongoing shared care agreement with GP

    (3 monthly under 10 years of age, 6 monthly over 10 years of age). 15-30 minutes. Video call/Face to face options 

  • Medication package - £750, this cost is reduced to £500 for families who have completed an assessment with Dr Sarah Mills. Price includes medication discussion, titration appointments, prescription costs, text support line and email contacts up to the end of titration. Medication costs will be paid at pharmacy in addition.

Payments…

Payments are made by BACS as standard, invoiced through Xero electronically.
